MPRC Announces Newest APRs

The Universal Accreditation Board of the Public Relations Society of America has awarded the designation ?Accreditation in Public Relations? (APR) to the following members of the Maine Public Relations Council:The Universal Accreditation Program seeks to improve the practice of public relations by awarding the APR designation to public relations professionals who successfully complete an examination that measures knowledge, experience and professional judgment. The Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations is administered twice yearly throughout the nation.
There are currently 21 professionals in Maine who hold the APR designation.
Accreditation is a voluntary certification program for public relations professionals who have at least five years of paid, full-time experience in the professional practice of public relations, or in the teaching or administration of public relations courses in an accredited college or university.
The Maine Public Relations Council is Maine?s largest professional organization dedicated to the advancement of the public relations field. Founded in 1975, MPRC has more than 250 members statewide.
